Why DroneDoctor for drone arms, motors, and shell?

With over 3,500 drones repaired, DroneDoctor is the trusted choice for drone arm motor shell repair in Romania and Europe. Service Constanța is equipped with DJI diagnostic tools, BGA rework stations, motor testers, and professional gimbal calibrators.

Every repair starts with a detailed free diagnostic. You receive a transparent quote with genuine DJI parts and an estimated turnaround time. If you do not accept the quote, your drone is returned at no repair cost — free shipping remains on us.

We offer a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the complexity of the repair. Installed parts are documented, and your repair history is provided upon return. No drone goes unresolved — we find solutions even for complex cases: water damage, flyaways, corroded mainboards, or firmware errors.

DJI drone arm repair — after crash or wear

Arms are the first line of defence in a crash. On folding models (Mini, Mavic, Air), the folding mechanism loosens over time, and after a fall the arm can remain deformed, with invisible cracks, or with a misaligned motor mount.

During diagnostic we check the structural integrity of each arm, mounting screws, integrated wiring (on Mini 4 Pro, Air 3, or Mavic 3 antennas run through the arm), and alignment with the central frame. We install genuine DJI arms, torque to specification, and run motor tests before any verification flight.

We do not recommend uncertified aftermarket arms — weight and rigidity differences affect IMU, gimbal, and flight stability. At DroneDoctor we use exclusively genuine or certified OEM parts.

Drone motor replacement — ESC, brushless, and vibrations

When does the motor need replacing?

A motor that refuses to start, vibrates heavily, or makes metallic noise usually indicates worn bearings, burnt windings, or a faulty ESC on the arm board. After water contact, corrosion appears quickly at motor terminals.

We test each motor on a bench: current draw, RPM, balance, and ESC response. If the arm ESC is affected, we replace the full module or repair at component level when possible. After installation, we calibrate IMU and verify stable takeoff without tilt or oscillation.

For FPV drones (Avata, DJI FPV) ducted fan motors and carbon frames follow different procedures — we have separate experience on each platform, with dedicated parts in stock or fast DJI ordering.

Drone shell repair — shell, landing gear, and structure

The shell protects internal electronics: mainboard, GPS module, compass, and battery. Shell cracks allow dust and moisture in; broken landing gear can hit the gimbal on landing. Enterprise models (Matrice, Inspire) with carbon or magnesium structures require precise alignment.

We replace upper and lower covers, landing gear, extendable legs, antenna grips, and cosmetic parts with genuine components. After assembly, we inspect sealing, USB-C ports, and accessory compatibility (ND filters, gimbal sunshade).

If impact also affected the mainboard or gimbal, the free diagnostic covers the entire system — you receive one clear quote with no hidden costs.

Supported DJI models

We repair arms, motors, and shells across the full DJI range: Mini 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 Pro, Air 2S / 3 / 3S, Mavic 2 / 3 (including Pro, Enterprise, Thermal), Avata / Avata 2 / Avata 360, DJI FPV, Phantom, Matrice, and Inspire.

Each drone has different part numbers — during diagnostic we identify the exact module for your serial number and communicate the delivery timeline. Structural repairs typically take 1–2 business days after quote approval.

How much do arm, motor, and shell repairs cost?

Price depends on model and affected parts. A simple arm starts from around 250 RON (labour + part), a brushless motor from 220 RON, and a mounted arm + motor set from 300 RON upward. Shells and landing gear start from 150 RON.

Diagnostic is free — you receive a detailed quote before any work. The Payment Guarantee means you do not pay for the diagnostic if you decline the repair. Round-trip shipping is free from anywhere in Romania.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before Service

Find answers to the most common questions about our drone repair services, the repair process, and what to expect when working with our team.

Can I fly with a cracked arm or vibrating motor?

It is not safe. A structurally compromised arm can fail in flight, and motor vibrations damage IMU, gimbal, and can burn the ESC. Stop flying and send the drone for a free diagnostic.

Do you replace just the motor or the whole arm?

It depends on the diagnostic. If the arm is intact and only the motor or ESC is faulty, we replace the affected component. When the arm is deformed or integrated wiring is damaged, we recommend a complete genuine DJI arm.

Do you have genuine parts for Mini 4 Pro, Air 3, and Mavic 3?

Yes. We order and install genuine DJI parts for all current models. During diagnostic we confirm availability and exact timeline for your part.

Does the repair affect calibration or DJI warranty?

After arm or motor replacement we recalibrate IMU and test flight. Independent authorized Service repair does not void our warranty of up to 24 months on installed parts and labour.

How long do arm and motor repairs take?

Diagnostic is ready within 24–48 hours. After quote approval, structural repairs typically take 1–2 business days, depending on part availability.
